Repeat Prescriptions

We have a computerised repeat prescription service. Repeat prescriptions are normally for patients with long-term conditions who receive regular treatment. Your doctor will decide who can have a repeat prescription.

Please use the re-order slip on the right hand side of your prescription or if this is not possible please give the exact drug names when ordering.

You can ask for a repeat prescription in the following ways:

  • By calling into the surgery when the reception is open
  • By post (please include a stamped addressed envelope)
  • By fax (546 2914)
  • Online via the link at the top of this page

We cannot routinely take telephone requests for repeat prescriptions because of the possibility of error but will consider this if a patient is housebound.

Medication Reviews

Patients on repeat medication will be asked to see a doctor, nurse practitioner or practice nurse at least once a year to review these regular medications and notification should appear on your repeat slip.

Please ensure that you book an appropriate appointment to avoid unnecessary delays to further prescriptions.

Please allow two full working days for prescriptions to be processed and remember to take weekends and bank holidays into account.
